Mobile phones and internet

Just after the beginning of new millennium, mobile phones and internet has dramatically changed the scenario of the world. Distances are now the matter of history and communication is matter of a blink. Information spreads by the speed of imagination and one can get the relevant information on his will, anytime.
I can remember the time when we used to wait for the postman for the letters of our dear ones. Notices and information were collected through mails not e-mails. We used to wait for the news on T.V. or used to get informed through newspapers. Channels were limited and it was difficult to get newspapers in impassable areas. Transportation was also limited and most of the remote places were deprived by the growth because of lack of proper roads and transportation facilities.
Communication through mobile phones and internet has not only shrunk the entire world but also generated the demand for actual communication through transportation development on ground level. Communication made the people closer to each other hence generated markets for the products of various places. All this resulted infrastructural development and economic growth.
Information also brought development in other spheres of life like science and technology. There is huge amount of sharing of ideas among the people throughout the world and those ideas are being implemented on various research facilities. Technological and medical advancement of present world are result of that. Life is being easier and we have more money to spend for better life.
Prior to mobile phones, people were connected through land lines which were available only when the user was close to it. This was a difficult mode of communication because a person cannot sit around a telephone throughout the day, so the use was limited. Mobile phone gave the liberty to man to go anywhere, staying connected. Hence he could attend the calls anywhere without sacrificing his visits. Internet on the other hand created a platform for sharing data over the communication networks. Text, audio and video are now easily available through this channel anywhere in the whole world. Banking is now fully operational through this channel. Money is now virtualized because of the wire transfer that was once calculated in cash. Pockets keep plastic money instead of big bundles of cash and hence pickpocketing is a risky business now.
There are undoubtedly many benefits through these communication mediums, some drawbacks are also being arisen most of them are on social areas. We are although connected to our loved ones by means of these channels; we don’t feel the requirement of actual meeting. The reasons are psychological. We need someone when we have shortage of him and because of this virtual communication, we never feel that scarcity hence don’t require the actual meeting. This has created a huge social and psychological imbalance in relationship. We therefore have the new challenges in the entire new arena. We are needed to find out the intelligible uses of these communication channels without sacrificing our relationships then only we can say that we are on profit state.

POPULATION VS MANPOWER

Citizens of a country called man power if they are employed otherwise it is population. Unfortunately, our country has population in huge amount. People in bunches flood towards cities all over the country and causing migration from their localities on large scale. This caused huge imbalance of distribution of population. Villages are getting scarce of people while cities are getting over populated day by day. Cities are therefore facing big problems on all aspects. Housing, sanitation, transport, water, electricity etc. are some of the areas facing big challenges in the cities.
After independence, due to emergence of better medical facilities, there is a steep fall in death rate whereas birth rate remained where it was. Growth in population is the result of that. After disinvestment from nineties, manufacturing and service sector got their way in country’s  development caused indirect discouragement to primary sector i.e. agriculture. Also secondary and tertiary sector initiate the inflation caused irritation in the livelihood of the people engaged in agriculture. As a result men from agriculture faced challenges for survival and hence diverted towards cities to earn their livelihood. Government although tried to initiate the agricultural growth through various schemes but the condition got worsen day by day. Suicides by the hundreds of farmers is an example of that.
Our governments since independence I believe, failed to distribute the profits among the citizens fairly. Corruption and big government structure may be the reason for that. Our governments although claim has played a catalytic role in Indian development but if you see many other country still having monarchy, the condition of their farmers doesn't have the big difference comparing to our farmers. So where is the development, is the matter of concern. Our government undoubtedly has initiated many plans and schemes for the betterment of poor but lack of determination is always visible. Knowing this, it tried to initiate the developing process by means of work done through private players but that also got sacrificed on corruption.
Population undoubtedly is the biggest problem of our country in the present scenario. Government as well as scholars believe it true as government face big challenges on adopting new schemes related to large section of population. Apart, it should also be noted that we have big man power to initiate those schemes so why not treat them as citizen instead of population.
Family planning is useless unless and until we make people understood its importance. And that can only be possible my means of education. Therefore government should highly concentrate on education at least up to junior level. Right to information is although implemented, the act is full of loopholes which are totally impractical. Now right to ‘right’ education is emerging as a new concept.
Population control and education are sectors should be concentrated together at a time. Controlled population for better education or better education for controlled population will then easily be available. Commitment on the other hand is the catalyst that is required by the government now. We hope better future for citizens of India.

SOCIAL DISPARITY IN REFERENCE OF INDIA

One of the peculiar features of Indian economy is the presence of dualism. There is a big difference between the incomes of an owner and its employees. Risk and availability of investment although bring bigger fortunes to the owner, difference of earnings still, is much more comparing to the western countries. This resulted huge social gap between them. Rich are getting richer and poor are striving for their basic needs.
In the past, cast system was the main factor of social discrimination. Now money has taken that place. Social status of a present man is usually evaluated through his wealth which was once considered by his intellect. This badly affected the social ethics and values of Indians. Most of the middle class families are striving to provide their children education that brings better returns in monetary terms instead of value education. So what is happening as a result, we are expecting better from our surrounding and government, without sacrificing our own liberty, hence getting much more selfish. We've spent generations fighting against British rule for our basic needs. So when we got freedom and got the opportunity to earn, we became greedy enough to become corrupt. Our political and administrative corruption is the result of that. Also, being a citizen we adulterated the system by playing our part as a corrupt employee and a biased voter. Now the condition is; we cry for our fate without imagining that we made this like that. A democratic country like us undoubtedly is ruled by the people selected through majority. We however don't look interested on the power of majority. That gene formation in us due to the suppression by British for generations led us to money minded. Dualism is also the outcome of that. Rich are interested on their profits and poor are fighting for their daily needs.
We the people, the power that preamble of our constitution has provided us is not understood to a common man. That can only be understood by means of education and precisely, by value education. We always want to be developed like west possibly that’s why try to get socialize like them without considering that we've our own way of cultural development. We can’t develop over the corpse of our culture however bad things of our culture are needed to be abolished. We praise the west for their development without considering that a country becomes great as much as its citizens are. We don’t want to be great but expect our country to be great. We don’t want to share our profits with our subordinates and want to abolish poverty from the system. Dualism will prevail as long as we have such mentality.
Democracy like us is a joint venture of we the citizen. Unless and until we understand and behave in a unified way, development will always be the main concern of country. It doesn't matter how rich a country is or how much facilities a society is enjoying, thing that matters is how much bread is shared between the citizens. Sooner we realize, earlier we are developed.
